Three talented artists—CEGIE, G Loc, and TrizO—join forces, ditch the egos, and create pure magic with their reggae-tinged, radio-ready single “Touch Me.” This smooth, sensual track blends emotional depth with a summery vibe, proving the whole is greater than its parts.
CEGIE, a Winnipeg native, drew inspiration from vulnerable moments in relationships. She stumbled upon TrizO’s beats while driving, sparking the song’s creation. “I started humming a melody, and it happened so fast,” she says. TrizO, unaware of her vocal talent, pushed her to the studio with G Loc. “I’ve known CEGIE for over 15 years and had no idea she could sing!” TrizO shares.
In Toronto, CEGIE and G Loc clicked instantly. “We had great chemistry,” G Loc says. “We gave it an international feel with our Jamaican roots, making it joyful and a bit sexy.” The result? A breezy mix of reggae, urban pop, and R&B that channels Jennifer Lopez or Rihanna vibes.
CEGIE, born in Winnipeg with Jamaican roots, grew up singing in church, her music spanning gospel to dancehall. TrizO, a Jamaican-born Calgary resident, crafts beats and mentors artists through his Konsequence International Sound System. G Loc, also from Jamaica, rose from a high school DJ competition to sharing stages with icons like Beenie Man.
“Touch Me” is CEGIE’s debut, backed by G Loc’s Akon-like flow and TrizO’s slick production. With its infectious energy, this trio is set to drop more reggae-infused, R&B ear candy that’s bound to soar.
