New song and music video, Amazing Girl by JayQ The Legend, written in April in anticipation of the elevation of qualified women to positions of power such as U.S. Democratic VP candidate Kamala Harris.
“I am a big believer in women in leadership positions”, says JayQ The Legend, “and thought it was timely to write an anthem for women. Amazing Girl celebrates all women and amazing girls worldwide. I know we will be led into a better future by phenomenal women. As a black man, who has been surrounded by amazing women of all races and creeds my whole life, this is my message to you, YOU ARE AMAZING AND I’M YOUR BIGGEST CHAMPION.”
The Amazing Girl music video is a worldwide collaboration of upbeat energy from around the world during the pandemic. We held auditions for dancers in every continent for the music video. I wish everyone could have made it into the final video, but the song is only 3 minutes. The spirit of the young women dancers and the way they interpreted my song, showed their fierceness. I am forever appreciative of their energy and dedication.

The Amazing Girl song is being used for political campaigns for women candidates in the US. Like, Pamela Smith-Wright, who is already using #amazinggirl in her campaign, will be the first female and African-American mayor in Owensboro, KY if elected.
The single itself hit the ground running, upon release on July 4th on Apple Music and other digital stores.
“I hoped this song would catch quickly”, says JayQ The Legend, “it’s time we commit to celebrating and respectingwomen for the amazing contributions they bring to our world.”
