Dancehall superstar Xyclone has scored another hit on several US iTunes Charts and Apple Music Playlists since releasing his latest EP titled The Sounds of Gambia with the aid of his distributor OneRPM. Since its release on Friday, November 8, the EP peaked at number 2 behind Bob Marley, with all the singles breaking into the top 20 on the US iTunes Reggae Singles Chart.
“Dem Nuh Bad Like We” featuring Hussain Dada from Gambia peaked at number 12, with “Yaba H+ Remix“, “Twerk“, “Who Fah“, “South Africa” and “Head Chip” following along from numbers 13 to 17 respectively. “Who Fah“, the lead single from The Sounds of Gambia has garnered over 1 million views cumulatively on social media. It’s been added to at least 3 Apple Music Playlists including the Pressure Drop, Worldwide Riddim and Tun Up playlists. Visuals were recently released on YouTube as well.
Xyclone‘s other music video, a track from The Sounds of Gambia called “Yaba H+ Remix” featuring African dancehall artist Asidik, also from Gambia, debuted at number 1 on October 25th and stayed atop the U.S. iTunes Reggae Music Videos Chart for almost 2 weeks straight.
