Young Generation Fraternity (YGF) Records and Herah Music Production (HMP) have teamed up to release a hot new track titled “Dangerous.” Officially released on November 20,2020, the track features Dancehall acts Jahvillani and Jada Kingdom.
“Dangerous is a risqué exchange of melodious lyrics between Jahvillani and Jada Kingdom. It’s the right mix of suave and sultry,” YGF producer Tevin Richards explained. The expectations for this single are high; besides the two talented artistes who lend their voices to the song, the two labels are known for releasing high quality productions and this one is no different. With YGF based in St. Ann and HMP, headed by Derron Herah, based in Kingston, the labels have been collaborating on several hits for the past year.
“HMP and myself collaborated to produce three singles from Dancehall artiste Skillibeng, namely “Yk Dat Guh”, “Bad Everyday” and “Hot.” Individually, HMP produced two singles from Tommy Lee, and I’ve produced others for Jahvillani. Our releases also include newer acts such as Rhumba, Pablo YG and Trance,” Richards elaborated.
Operating under YGF for the past 4 years, Richards has put his hand it to a slew of hits, collaborating with some of the biggest names in Dancehall, both locally and internationally. The 2018 EPs, “Gifted” and “Growth” featured local artistes such as Shenseea, Devin Di Dakta, Vershon and African dancehall artiste Shatta Wale. The label has also produced for artistes such as 9TYZ, Guesswah Boss and Konshens.
“YGF was officially registered in 2016 but my journey definitely did not start there. I’ve been influenced by music perhaps all my life, having had a father who introduced me to the world of music and sparked a love and a fire within me which one day I knew I had to blaze for myself,” Richards elaborated.
Coming up in the pipeline for both labels are a host of other projects that will be released in the near future.
“Coming up for YGF, I am working on a project for Jahvillani called “Dirt To Bentley” featuring other great acts. As for HMP, there will be more projects featuring artists such as Shatta Wale, Jahvillani, Jahshi and Pretty Official, from Team Spice,” Richards revealed.
